Abstract

In order to know the germicidal efficacy of Ao-Fu-Shu liquid disinfectant, carrier quantitative germicidal test was carried out. The results showed that 60% (v/ v) disinfectant solution with a 5 min contact time killed 100% of Candida albicans on cloth strips, 50% solution with a 5 min contact time killed 100% of Stapylococcus aureus on cloth strips and 40% solution with a 5 min contact time killed 100% of Escherichia coli on cloth strips. Calf serum had certain influence on the germicidal efficacy of the disinfectant solution. The killing rate of Candida albicans did not decrease significantly after the disinfectant was stored at 54 ℃ for 14 days. The results indicated that the Chinese herbal medicine disinfectant has good efficacy in killing vegetative form of bacteria and yeast and has good stability.
