Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy of Asiaticoside on treating the wounds caused by super-pulsed carbon dioxide laser after treating facial skin benign tumor. Methods A total of 101 cases were treated by super-pulsed carbon dioxide laser and then applied with Mupirocin Ointment for two weeks. Those cases were randomly divided into three groups as follows: group A as control group, group B and group C was applied with Asiaticoside at the 1st day and the 7th day after the treatment until the eighth week.Observing the healing time, the incidence of erythema and pigmentation, patient's judgement to the therapeutic efficacy and the appearance of scar. Results The average healing time of group B was shorter than group A and group C.The incidence of erythema of group B was lower than group A.The incidence of pigmentation of group B and group C was both lower than group A.Patients of group B were more satisfied with therapeutic efficacy than group C and group A.The severity degree of scar of group B and group C was both lower than group A.Conclusion Asiaticoside has conspicuous efficacy in treating the wounds caused by super-pulsed carbon dioxide laser after treating skin benign tumor.
