Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of ulinastatin(UTI) in treating multiorgan dysfunction syndromes(MODS).Methods Eighty-two patients with MODS were randomly divided into two groups.Forty cases in the control group were treated with normal medicine.Forty-two cases in UTI group were treated with normal therapy in combination with UTI through intravenous injection. Two groups were compared on the levels of serum tumor necrosis-a(TNF-a),interleukins-1(IL-1) and IL-6 before and after the treatment. Results The levels of TNF-a,IL-1 and IL-6 in UTI group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P0.05).Moreover,there was obvious difference between two groups in the total time in ICU(P0.01).Conclusion UTI are effective on MDS patients, and can be used in the treatment of MODS.
