Abstract
The militant language,one of the significant features in Mao Zedong's poems,together with the unique characteristics of classical Chinese poems and ci,greatly adds aesthetic flavour to Mao's poems.In the translation process,if either element is taken into no account,the beauty in both the form and artistic conception will be greatly weakened or distorted.On the basis of translation aesthetics,this article presents a comparative research into the poetic form and artistic conception of a typical poem entitled as Capture of Nanjing by the People's Liberation Army to help better probe into the merits and demerits in the translation of the militant language in Mao Zedong's poems.
