Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of ultrasound-guided immature follicle puncture technique (IMFP) in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS). Methods Thirty-four patients with PCOS were treated with transvaginal ultrasound-guided follicle puncture. Serum levels of LH, FSH, A, T and the basic follicle number were monitored before and after the treatment. Results The serum levels of A, T and the basic follicle number were decreased significantly after treatment (8.73±2.84)vs(6.17±0.74),(3.38±0.52)vs(2.03±0.25),(16.72±3.63)vs(7.23±3.45),there were statistical difference(P 0.01), the levels of LH was decreased significantly after the operation(15.67±4.27)vs(9.41±2.86),there were statistical differences(P 0.05), ovulation rate(82.35%) and pregnancy rate(55.88%) were increased. Conclusion IMFP treatment can improve the abnormal endocrinology, decrease the basic follicle number of the ovary, and achieve pregnancy in following cycles in PCOS patients.
