Clinical Observation of "Tangshengkang Decoction" in Treating Diabetic Nephropathy in 30 Cases

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Tangshenkang Decoction on diabetic nephropathy. Methods Sixty subjects were randomized into two groups,treatment group in which 30 cases were treated with this Decoction,and control group in which another 30 cases were treated with Losartan,both with a course of 3 months. The clinical symptom,insulin sensitivity index(ISI),24-hour urinary protein,renal function and blood lipid were observed before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate was 83.3% in treatment group and 63.3% in control group,the efficacy of treatmeat group was superior to control group,P 0.05. ISI,24-hour urinary protein,renal function and blood lipid improved obviously in treatment group after treatment,P 0.05 or P 0.01,and there was a significant difference between two groups,P 0.05 or P 0.01. Conclusion Tangshenkang Decoction plus western medication has better effects than simple western medication in treating diabetic nephropathy.
