Application comparison of two kinds of clavicular hook plates

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of two different kinds of clavicular hook plates for acromioclavicular joint dislocation.Mthhods Thirty-seven patients with acromioclavicular joint dislocation were treated with two different collarbone hook steel plates.According to Tossy classification system,all patients belonged to Ⅲ.There were 26 cases used L to internal fix,11 cases used U-type.Results All patients were followed up for 9-29 months(average 18 months).The results were evaluated with Karlsson classification,26 cases in the group of L-type clavicular hook plates internal fixation were graded as A,3B;in U group,5 cases were graded as A,6B,1C.Conclusion Two kinds of clavicular hook plates are believed to be a ridid fixation method for treatment of acromioclavicular joint dislocation,but using L-type clavicular hook plates has the advantages such as less trauma,simpler operation,safety,shorter small incision,and rapid rehabilitation.It is a satisfactory method to treat the acromioclavicular joint dislocation.
