Self-made Runfei Decoction Combined with Western Medicine on Efficacy and Immune Function of Resistant Tuberculosis Patients

Objective: To observe the effect of Self- made Runfei Decoction combined Western medicine on drug- resistant tuberculosis patients and its influence on immune function. Methods: 116 patients of multidrug- resistant tuberculosis in our hospital during January 2009- May 2011 were randomly divided into observation group( 70 patients) and the control group( 46 patients). The control group was treated with Western medicine anti- TB drugs,and the patients in the observation group added Self- made Runfei Decoction. The two groups were observed and compared changes in chest radiographic lesions before and after treatment,peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets level changes,and adverse reactions. Results: After treatment,the chest lesions imaging absorption rate of observation group's patients was significantly higher( P 0. 05). In observation group before and after treatment,the serum CD3 +,CD4 +,CD4 +/ CD8 +levels were significantly higher than those in the control group( P 0. 05). The adverse reactions between the two groups had no statistically significant difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion: Self- made Runfei Decoction combined Western medicine resistant tuberculosis drugs can effectively promote the improvement of clinical symptoms and effectively improve the patient's immune function.
