Abstract
Objective: To explore the efficacy and safety of Laokang Decoction combined with conventional anti tuberculosis treatment on retreating pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods: 50 cases of retreated pulmonary tuberculosis patients in our hospital from January 2012 to January 2014 as the research objects, were randomly divided into two groups,25 cases in each, the controlled group were given routine western medicine anti tuberculosis treatment, the observation group patients plus Laokang Decoction in treatment of tuberculosis based on the controlled group, observed and compared the incidence of absorption, the sputum negative conversion, cavity closure and complications between the two groups. Results: The marked absorption rate, cavity closure rate, the sputum negative conversion rate in observation group were 48%,48%,96%,compared with the controlled group of 20%,16%,60%,difference was significant( P 0. 05). At the same time, the cough, expectoration, fever and other symptoms in the observation group after treatment was significantly higher than that of the controlled group( P 0. 05). In addition, the rate of complications of two groups had no significant difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion: The curative effect of Laokang Decoction combined with western medicine on anti tuberculosis treatment of retreated pulmonary tuberculosis is clear, with few complications, safe and reliable,is worthy of clinical application.
