Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of puerarin on blood system and the mechanism of anticoagulant. Methods Coagulate time(CT) was measured by glass method sheet,the bleeding time was measured using tail-cutting method,turbidimetric method was used to estimate platelet aggregation,and hemorheology was measured with heparin as anticoagulant. Results Puerarin markedly prolonged BT,CT,prominently inhibited the platelet aggregation,and the whole blood viscosity under high,middle and low shear rates. Conclusion These results suggest that puerarin has potent anticoagulant effect and its mechanism is related to inhibiting platelet aggregation and improving hemorheology.
