Clinical analysis of selecting probiotics in treatment of ulcerative colitis

Objective To observe and analyze the Oral Bifidobacterium Capsules and treatment effect of ulcerative colitis in clinical. Methods Selected 108 cases that were diagnosis as ulcerative colitis,and divided them into two groups randomly. The therapy group oral Bifidobacterium triple viable piece and merged with sulfasalazine,during treatment period,we must pay attention to improving patients ' living habits. And in the control group was treated with metronidazole tablets combined sulfasalazine,and keep the patients in the same therapeutic environment as the therapy group,continuous medication for 4 weeks. After four weeks,we review the colonoscopy,comparing the treatment effect between the two groups. Results The therapy group's total effective rate was 92. 59%,in the comparing with control group; the total effective rate was 72. 22%. The treatment group and the control group's complete remission rate were 51. 85% and 31. 48% respectively. And after six months,the relapse rates were 3. 70% and 16. 67 % respectively. By analyzing the data with SPSS17. 0,they were all statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusions After oral administration triple viable Bifidobacterium combined sulfasalazine,and through continuous monitoring,we find that combination therapy increased the effectiveness of drug in the treatment of ulcerative colitis,suggest that these combination therapies could be widely used in clinical practice.
