Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of mesh-plug tension-free hernioplasty for inguinal hernia. Methods The clinical data of 96 patients with inguinal hernia treated with mesh-plug tension-free hernioplasty from January 2006 to December 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. Results All cases were operated successfully. The follow-up period ranged from 6 mothons to 4 years and no recurrence was observed. Conclusions Application of mesh-plug tension-free hernioplasty for inguinal hernia is safe and effective.
