Analysis of personality characteristics and occupation adaptability of nursing interns

Abstract
Objective: To analyse the personality characteristics of nursing interns,and study its relationship with occupation adaptability,to improve the nursing interns' occupation adaptability.Method: The Eysenck personality questionnaire(EPQ) was applied to investigate the personality characteristics and temperament types of 212 nursing interns,and compare the outcome of those with the common population.Result: The nursing interns investigated got lower score in P,N,L dimensions of EPQ,and got higher score in E dimensions than common population(P0.01);More blood-quality tops the four temperament types with the rate of 52.2%.Conclusion: The nursing interns have weak psychoticism and deception characteristics with calm mood,they generally have extroversion characteristic.Through vocation education,they can meet the nursing occupation request fairly well.
