Abstract
Objective: To investigate patho-alteration of kidney in diabetic nephropathy rats treated with rosiglitazone. Methods: Thirty Sprague-Dawley male rats were randomized into normal control, diabetic, and rosiglitazone-treating groups,10 in each.Rosiglitazone was given at the dose of 1 mg/kg/d to the rosiglitazone-treating group.Pathological changes in the kidney of diabetic rats before and after intervention were observed. Results: The pathological changes of the rosiglitazones-treating group were milder than that in the diabetic group. Conclusion: Rosiglitazones may improve patho-alteration in the kidney of diabetic rats.
