Abstract
Objective:To discuss the efficacy and safety of transurethral plasmakinetic vaporization of prostate(PKVP) .Methods:One hundred aged BPH patients were treated by PKVP.Results:less blood loss and no transurethral resection syndrom or obturator nerve reflex occurred. All patients were followed up for 1~6 months postoperatively, The peak flow rate increased from 7.8 ± 4.2 to 22.4 ± 4.7 ml/s. The IPSS decreased from 27.6 ± 4.7 to 7.2 ± 2.8 and the QOL decreased from 4.5 ± 0.5 to 2.5 ± 0.5 . Residual urine avolume decreased from 76±80 to 35±45 ml.Conclusions:PKVP has the advantages of high safety , less complications and good efficacy, have improved the excision rate of the prostate gland.
