Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical significance of E-Cadherin in colorectal carcinoma.Methods Expression of E- Cadherin in colorectal carcinoma were determined by immunohistochemical staining,and the ralationship between E-Cadherin and pathological features in 60 cases of colorectal carsinoma were analyzed.Results In 60 cases of colorectal carcinoma,the expression of E-Cadherin was 71.67%.The low level expression of E-Cadherin was positively correlated with the Dukes staging,serosa infiltration, lymph node and liver metastasis of colorectal carcinoma(P0.05).Conclusion These data shows a correlation between E-Cadherin expression and the potential of invasion and metastasis in colorectal carcinoma.E-Cadherin may be prognostic indicators in colorectal carcinoma.
