Abstract
Objective:To summarize the value of laparoscopic total extraperitoneal prosthesis(TEP).Methods:From Mar.2006 to Aug.2008,twenty three patients with inguinal hernia accepted TEP under general anesthesia in our hospital.Results:The operative time avaried from 60 to 120 minutes,and blood loss was 10-50ml.Postoperative complications included 4 cases scrotal emphysema and pneumoderma.The patients discharged from hospital 3-5d after operation.There was no recurrence in 3-29 months follow-up.Conclusions:The TEP is safe,reliable,simple and with less complications.
