Abstract
Objective To analyze retrospectively the hemoglobin and its correlation with NYHA - class in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods A total of 246 CHF patients who were treated in hospital. The patients were accorded with NYHA cardiac functional grading with a history of heart failure for at least 12 months. The patients who could induce secondary anemia were excluded.Less than 120 g/L hemoglobin indicated anemia.Cardiac function was diagnosed with HYHA cardiac functional grading. It was concluded thatⅠclass andⅡclass represented mild heart failure;Ⅲclass andⅣclass represented severe heart failure. The original effective test result of hemoglobin in 246 patients were gained. The test data was disposed statistically with SPSS 11.0 software(P 0.05).Results The prevalence of CHF patients(Ⅲclass andⅣclass) was significantly higher them that in the mild CHF patients(Ⅰclass andⅡclass). The less the hemoglobin level, the higher the cardiac functional grading. Conclusion The degree of anemia is closely associated with the severity of chronic heart failure.
