Abstract

Objective To evaluate hand hygiene status of medical staff in a general hospital in Xinjiang.Methods Two hundred and fourty medical workers who worked in four college of public health prone to nosocomial infection departments were invesitgated.On-site surveys and questionnaires were performed in all participants.Results 94.8% subjects did hospital hand hygiene training and 95.8% subjects knew the knowledge of hand hygiene.The implementation rate of hand hygiene was 95.8%,90.3% only in department of pediatric.The implementation rate of hand hygiene of physicians and nurses was no significant difference.Conclusion The investigated general hosptial has good hand hygiene training and implementation.Though taking plenty of medical staff,improve hand hygiene facilities and enhance training,the hosptial can improve hand hygiene status.
