A Review on the Study of Xu Wei' s Drama since the Beginning

Xu Wei's drama achievement is the important of ancient Chinese drama art history,is also inescapable object on studying ancient Chinese drama.This paper records the 1949 and the 1979 as boundary point,Xu Wei drama research is divided into three stages,and express three features:First,research mode became from traditional critical research to the modern research;Second,the research pattern is made up of the mainland and Taiwan,each other have promote;Third,research situation is more close to reality and diversification.But Xu Wei drama research also exist three defects at the same time:One,the whole macro-research is more than special;two,the single research of drama works or single drama theory is more than the integration research of drama works and drama theory;three,papers are more than monographs.Therefore,Xu Wei drama research has still larger space that is expectedly explored further by academia.
