Treatment of chronic pelvic inflammation with retention enema therapy of Chinese herbal drugs

Objective To observe the curative effect of the retention enema therapy of Chinese herbal drugs on chronic pelvic inflammation.Method The patients with chronic pelvic inflammation(n=182)were randomly divided into two groups.After anti-inflammation treatment intravenously for one week the treatment group(n=91)was treated with the retention enema therapy of Chinese herbal drugs and the control group(n=91)were treated with oral antibiotics.Result The total effective rate was 79.12%in the treatment group and 26.37%in the control group.There was a great significant difference in the comparison between two groups (P0.01).Conclusion The retention enema therapy of Chinese herbal drugs has a reliable effect on chronic pelvic inflammation.
