Abstract

Objective:To observe the protective effect of Daidzein on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. Methods:Rat's ischemia-reperfusion injury model was established by ligating left anterior descending coronary artery for 40 min followed by reperfusion for 120 min.32 male rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, the sham operation group, the model group and the two DD groups. The two DD groups were respectively given by way of sublingual vein 10 min before ischemia-reperfusion,and to the sham operation group and the model group, saline was given instead. The activity of creatine phosphokinase(CK) and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) in serum, content of malondialdehyde(MDA) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) in myocardial tissue were observed to evaluate the protective effect of DD.Results:The area of acute mycardial infarction was lesser,LDH and CK were lower in the two DD groups than those in the model group.Content of SOD was significantly higher and that of MDA was markedly lower than those in the model group. And all the changes mentioned above show some Dose-dependent effect. Conclusion:Daidzein has the protective effects on myocardial ichemia-reperfusion injury in rats.
