Abstract
Objective To establish the assay method for quantitative determination ofα,β-asarone in effective fraction of A. tatarinowii Schott. Method The chromatographic column was kromasil ODS C18(250 mm×4.6mm, 5μm),the mobile phase was methanol: water(56:44) with a flow velocity of 1.0 mL/min,and the detection wavelength was 257 nm in the reverse phased-high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) procedure. Result The average recoveries ofβ-asarone andα-asarone was 98.57% (RSD=0.35%) and 99.75% (RSD=1.30%), respectively. Conclusion The procedure, which is easy and accurate, can be used as a quality control method for the effective fraction of A. tatarinowii Schott.
