Meta-analysis of comparative study in treatment of negative symptom between risperidone and other antipsychotics.

Objective To understand the difference in treatment of negative symptom between risperidone and other antipsychotics.Methods 22 studies that compare effects differences in treatment of negative symptom between risperidone and other antipsychotics was analysed by meta analysis in comprehensive test and effect side.Results ①The significant difference in change of negative symptom before and after treatment by risperidone was found, Z =49.718, P 0.05;ES(effect side)= 2.450 .②No significant difference in change of negative symptom between treatment by risperidone and other antipsychotics, Z =8.468, P 0.05,but ES=0.499.③No significant difference in change of negative symptom between treatment by risperidone and colzapine, Z =7.111, P 0.05,but ES=0.479.④No significant difference in change of negative symptom between treatment by risperidone and sulpiried, Z =2.444, P 0.05,ES=0.196。⑤No significant difference in change of negative symptom between treatnent by risperidone and typical antipsychotics, Z =4.873, P 0.05,but ES=0.523.Conclusion The efffect of risperidone on schizophrenic negative symptom was significant wihich did not differ from other antipsychotics.The difference of ES vary to different drugs.
