Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of the integrated Chinese and western medicine on osteoporosis.Methods 65 cases of osteoporosis treated in the hospital were randomized into a treatment group(33 cases)and a control group(32 cases).In the control group,32 cases were treated with the oral administration of caltrate D tablets.In the treatment group,33 cases were treated with the oral administration of caltrate D tablets and Chinese medicine.Results The cases in either group were treated for 6 months(2 sessions,3-month treatment made one session).Afterward,the effect was assessed according to the efficacy assessment standards.Of 33 cases in the treatment group,13 cases were cured,14 cases remarkably effective,4 cases effective and 2 cases failed.The total effective rate was 93.9%.Of 32 cases in the control group,8 cases were cured,10 cases remarkably effective,8 cases effective and 6 cases failed.The total effective rate was 81.3%.The comparison of the total effective rate presented statistically significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P0.05),which explained that the clinical efficacy of integrated Chinese and western medicine in the treatment group was superior to that of the simple western medicine in the control group.Conclusion The integrated Chinese and western medicine achieves the good efficacy on osteoporosis and deserves to be promoted clinically.
