An Analysis of Ascription of Farmland Development Rights

Abstract
With the increasing pressure in land demand brought by development of economy and society, the farmland development rights has come to be realized by each main body concerned with land use and by the whole society. Recently, many scholars have discussed the problem of preventing farmland conversion and protecting the legal rights and interests of farmers after their farmland is expropriated.In the view of rights,some scholars have analyzed resource allocation and efficiency and believe the farmland development rights should be manifest in China. However, the academe has had different viewpoints on the ascription of farmland development rights.This paper focuses on category and theory of farmland development rights in China and presents personal understanding.
