Study on cTnI and myocardial remodeling and cardiac function after PCI

Objective To investigate the association between serum cardiac troponin I(cTnI) and cardiac function/structrure in patients with ACS after PCI.Methods 47 patients were divided into cTnI normal group(n=25) and cTnI elevated group(n=22) before operation.Lad,LVD,IVS,LVPW,LVEF,E/A,cTnI were determined before and after operation.Bivariate correlation analysis applied to show the correlation of serum cTnI level with above indices.Partial correlation analysis was performed followed by multivariate logistic regression.Results Compared with cTnI in normal group before operation,Ld and LVd dimensions were significantly higher(P0.05),IVS,LVWP,LVEF,E/A ratio were significantly lower(P0.05) in abnormal group.The correlation was persistent after adjustment with other intervention factor.Conclusion the rise of serum cTnI is closely related with the occurrence of cardiac structure and function,it is independent danger factor probably in cardiac remodeling and function of patients with ACS after operation.
