Abstract

Objective To explore the curative effects of thioctic acid combined with cilostazol and methycobal for type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods Sixty patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy were randomly divided into two groups. The patients in control group were given cilostazol and methycobal. The patients in treatment group were additionally given thioctic acid for 4 weeks. The motor nerve conduction velocity(MNCV)and the sensory nerve conduction velocity(SNCV)were determined and compared between two groups. The curative effects in two groups were evaluated. Results MNCV and SNCV in treatment group were higher than those in control group,respectively(P0.05).The effective rate in treatment group was higher than that in control group(93.4% vs 66.6%,P0.05).Conclusion The therapeutic effects of thioctic acid combined with cilostazol and methycobal for diabetic peripheral neuropathy is better than that of cilostazol combined methycobal.
