Abstract

Objective:To assss the clinic significance of microglubin in urine and blood in elder patients with hypertension. Methods: Seventy six patients with hypertension and 28 health controls were involved in the study. The patients were divided into two groups, the elder group (more than 60 year old, n=45) and the younger group ( less than 60 year old, n=31).α 1 MG,β 2 MG in urine and blood were measured by radio immunoassay. Results: The serum level of α 1 MG in patients with hypertension was higher than that in health control group (P 0.05 ,P 0.01 ). In the older group, serum level of β 2 MG in was significantly higher compared with that in the younger group (P 0.05 ); the uric level of α 1 MG, β 2 MG in patients with hypertension was much higher than that in controls group(P 0.01 ,P 0.05 ), and the uric level of α 1 MG, β 2 MG in the elder group was significantly higher than that in the younger group (P 0.01 ,P 0.01 ).Conclusion: our results show the uric level of α 1 MG and β 2 MGs is a sensitive sign indicating the injury of glomerular filtration in elder patients with hypertension.
