Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between serum uric acid level and severity of pregnancy- induced hypertension syndrome. Methods A total of 66 patients with pregnancy- induced hypertension syndrome were selected in the Maternity and Child Care Centers of Fengcheng from March 2010 to July 2013,and they were divided into groups A( with light-medium pregnancy- induced hypertension syndrome,n = 30),B( with preeclampsia,n = 19),C( with eclampsia,n = 17)according to pregnancy- induced hypertension syndrome classification criteria. A total of 65 healthy pregnant women were selected as control group at the same time. Serum uric acid level was detected, and its correlation with blood pressure was analyzed, delivery conditions and newborn conditions of groups A,B,C were observed. Results The serum uric acid level of control group was( 12. 3 ± 6. 6) μg / L,of A group was( 20. 1 ± 10. 9) μg / L,of B group was( 28. 4 ± 16. 8) μg / L,of C group was( 40. 6 ± 19. 7) μg / L,the serum uric acid level of B group was higher than that of A group( P 0. 05),the serum uric acid level of C group was higher than that of B group( P 0. 05). Serum uric acid level of patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome was positively correlated with diastolic blood pressure( r = 0. 002,P = 0. 002),systolic blood pressure( r = 0. 006, P = 0. 003), respectively. There were statistically significant differences of incidence of caesarean, premature delivery and postpartum hemorrhage in groups A, B, C( P 0. 05), and there were statistically significant differences of newborn's weight and Apgar score in groups A,B,C,too( P 0. 05). Conclusion Serum uric acid level is correlated with severity of pregnancy- induced hypertension syndrome, can be an effective index for evaluating the severity.
