Abstract

Objective To explore the curative effect of microbial therapy combined with metronidazole treatment in patients with bacterial vaginosist. Methods 128 patients with bacterial vaginosis in school affiliated clinic were randomly and evenly divided into two groups: group A receving routine treatment with and group B,metronidazole suppository combined with microbial therapy(lactobacillus capsules). The curative effect rate atthe end of treatment, the recurrence rate at the end of treatment and three months after the cure were observed and compared. Results The curative effect rates at the end of treatment in group A and group B were 92.2% and 96.9%,respectively and there were no statistical significance(P0.05);Recurrence rates in group A and group B were 23.7% and 1.6%,respectively,and the difference was significant(P0.01). Conclusion Microbial therapy combined with metronidazole for treating bacterial vaginosis is effective and the recurrence rate is low.
