Abstract
Objective: To affirm if metoprolol call reduce ventricular arrhythmia and supraventrieularrhythmia given early in acute myocardiol infarction(AMI).Methods:86 patients with AMI were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, the treatment group was given metoprolol 25-50 mg,bid additionally, the control group was given conventional treatment.Results:3 and 6 months later, events of vemricular arrhythmia, supraventricular arrhythmia, decease of arrhythmia in treatment group were less than those in control group(P0.05).Conclusion: Given early in AMI,metoprolol has a powerful antiarrhythmic effect in suppressing ventricular arrhythmias as wellas supraventricular arrhydunias.
