Abstract
Objective:To affirmif Metoprolol call reduce venft ricular arrhythmia and supraventrieul arrhythmia given early in acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods:96 patients with AMI were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, the treatment group was given Metoprolol 25~50mg,bid additionally, the control group was given conventional treatment.Results:3 and 6 months later, events of vemricular arrhythmia, supraventricular arrhythmia, decease of arrhythmia in treatment group were less than those in control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Given early in AMI,metoprolol has a powerful ant iarr hythm ic effect in suppres sing ventricular arrhythmias as w ell as supravent ricular arrhydun ias.
