Clinical effect of vinpocetine on 60 cases with vertebrobasilar insufficiency

Objective:To investigate the effects and safety of vinpocetine on patients with vertebro-basilar insufficiency(VBI). Methods:One hundred and twenty patients with VBI were randomly divided into the theatment group(60 cases) and the control group(60 cases).The patients in theatment and control groups were injected with 20 mg of vinpocetine and 40 mg of Dengzhanhuasu everyday for 14 days,respectively. Results:The total effective rate of theatment group(93.33%) was obviously higher than that of the control group(70.00%,P0.01).The index of hemorheology and hemodynamic of two groups were obviously improved after treatment(P0.01),and which of the treatment group were better than that of the control group.There were no obvious adverse reations in two groups. Conclusions:The curative effects of vinpocetine on treating VBI are good,which it is worthy of being widely applied in clinic.
