Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and the safety of Dachaihu decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis. Methods 138 patients with severe pancreatitis in our hospital were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group, with 68 cases in each group. The control group received the western medicine for treatment, while the experimental group received the Dachaihu decoction combined with western medicine for treatment. After one course of treatment, the treatment efficacy, the differences of serum amylase, plasma endotoxin,IL-6,IL-10 were compared between two groups. The adverse reactions were observed. Results After 7 days of treatment, the significant efficiency and effective rate of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group(P 0.05).The serum amylase,IL-6,IL-10,plasma endotoxin after treatment in both groups had significant improvement compared with those before the treatment, but the experimental group had better improvement situation than the control group(P 0.05).No drug-related adverse reaction was found in both groups. Conclusions Dachaihu decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis has good effect and high security.
