Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Jiemin Qufeng Decoction Ⅱ in treating allergic rhinitis. Methods Ninety subjects were evenly randomized into three groups:group A in which 30 cases were treated with Jiemin Qufeng Decoction Ⅱ ,group B in which 30 cases were treated with Jiemin Qufeng Decoction Ⅰ and group C in which 30 cases were treated with Cetizizine hydrochloride, with a course of 14 days. The symptoms and signs were observed before treatment, just after treatment and 6 months after treatment. Results The short-term effective rate was 68.9% in group A,72.4% in group B and 85.7% in group C,with no difference between them(P0.05); the long-term effective rate was 62.1% in group A,58.6% in group B and 28.6% in group C,with higher rate in groups A and B than in group C(P0.05). After treatments, the symptom scores and total scores were reduced in the three groups(P0.05),but they increased in group C(P0.05). Conclusion Jiemin Qufeng Decoction Ⅱ is effective for allergic rhinitis by controlling the clinical symptoms and improving patients' life quality.
