Clinical Observation of "Jiemin Qufeng Decoction" in Treating Allergic Rhinitis

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Jiemin Qufeng on allergic rhinitis(AR).Methods 158 cases of AR were randomly divided into two groups,with 80 cases in treatment group(TG) and 78 cases in control group(CG).Cases in TG were treated with this Decoction,two times a day,14 days for a course,and lasted for 1~3 courses,while those in CG were treated with Cetirizine,one capsule a day,and lasted for 14 days.Results Recent therapeutic effect: Among the cases of TG,48 were significantly improved and 28 were effective;and among those of CG,57 were significantly improved and 17 were effective.The difference of curative effect was not significant between them.Long-term effect: Among the cases of TG,12 were significantly improved and 44 were effective.In contrast,among those of CG,3 were significantly improved and 21 were effective.The difference of curative effect was very significant between them.Conclusion This Decoction is very effective for AR.
