Clinical observation of "Jiemin Qufeng Decoction" plus loratadine in treating allergic rhinitis

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effects of Jiemin Qufeng Decoction plus loratadine in treating allergic rhinitis(AR).Methods 120 subjects were randomly divided into two groups:control group in which 60 cases were given loratadine and treatment group in which 60 cases were given Jiemin Qufeng Decoction plus loratadine.After 3-course treatment,the clinical effects were evaluated.Results In the treatment group,the total effective rate for comprehensive clinical efficacy was 96.7%,higher than 73.33% in the control group(P0.05);the total effective rate for TCM syndrome was 95.0%,higher than 73.3% in the control group(P0.05).The symptoms and signs' total scores of the two groups were significantly decreased after treatment(P0.05),with more significant decrease in the treatment group than in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Jiemin Qufeng Decoction plus loratadine is quite effective in improving the clinical symptoms of allergic rhinitis.
