Determination of the Content of Icariin in Shengjing Capsule by HPLC

Abstract

Objective:To establish a simple method of determining the content of icariin in Shengjing Capsules.Methods:The analysis was carried out on column for phenomenex-Genmini-C18(4.6mm×150mm).The mobile phase was methanol-water(52∶48) with the flow-rate at 1.0 mL·min-1and the UV detection wave-length at 270nm.Results:Icariin showed a good linear relationship at 0.25～4μg.The average recovery was 100.4% and RSD of reproduction was 2.5%.Conclusion:HPLC method is easy to handle,accurate,reproducible and suitable for determinaiton the content of icariin in Shengjing capsules.
