Abstract
Cyclohexene was synthesised by dehydration of cyclohexanol using phosphotungstic acid supported on active carbon as catalyst. The effect of various reaction parameters such as catalyst amount, reaction temperature and reaction time investigated was investigated. The optimum reaction conditions were:the amount of catalyst,2.7% of the amount of cyclohexanol;reaction temperature,80~90(°C);reaction time,30 min.The yield of cyclohexene reached 93.50% under the optimum conditions.
