Efficacy Observation of Duodenal Ulcer of Aged People Treated with Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction(Traditional Chinese Medicine Formula Granules) and Rabeprazole

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy on duodenal ulcer of aged people treated with the combined medication of Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction(traditional Chinese medicine formula granules) and Rabeprazole.Methods:One hundred and twelve cases of duodenal ulcer of aged people diagnosed with gastroscope and treated in the hospital were randomized into two groups,56 cases in each one.In the treatment group,the combined medication of Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction twice a day and rabeprazole 20 mg once a day was prescribed.In the control group,rabeprazole was prescribed for oral administration,20 mg once a day.The course of treatment was 4 weeks in two groups.At the end of treatment,the improvements in symptoms were observed and ulcer healing was evaluated under gastroscope.Results:After 4 weeks treatment,the symptom score was significantly lower as compared with that before treatment in either group.The improvements were significantly different as compared with the control group(P 0.05).The gastroscope score of ulcer healing indicated that the total effective rate was 98.21% in the treatment group and was 89.29% in the control group.The improvements of ulcer healing in the treatment group were different significantly as compared with the control group(P 0.05).Conclusion:The combined medication of Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction and Rabeprazole effectively improves the symptoms and ulcer healing.
