Abstract
Objective To determinate the extent of lipemic, hemolytic and icteric of serum sample more precisely using its serum index, which expressed as the three indices L,H and I.Methods Using the serum index determination function provided by Hitachi7600-020 automatic chemistry analyzer and setting parameters according to our experimental condition, three indices of L,H and I were measured. Results The determination of 60 sixty normal serum samples of healthy persons, the normal reference range of the three indices was established:L19,H6,9I48.Conclusion Serum index could be used in monitoring serum sample’s appearance, which can facilitate the medical laboratory staff greatly, plays an important role in checking the experimental results and explaining the results to the clinical doctor.
