Abstract

Gallic acid reacts with n-butyl alcohol to produce n-buty gallate in microwave radiation, with solid superacid SO~(2-)_4/TiO_2/La~(3+) as a catalyst. The best reaction condition is that the rate of alcohol to gallic acid is 10.0∶1.0,the amount of catalyst was 1.7% of total mass of reactants, the power of microwave over 680 W,the time 25 min,and thus the yield 91.6%.Structure of the product was identified by IR.
