Clinical observation about combined procedures for traumatic dislocation of lens and secondary glaucoma

[Objective] To evaluate the clinical effect of extraction of dislocated lens combined with vitrectomy and antiglaucomatous surgery for traumatic dislocation of the lens associated with secondary glaucoma.[Methods] Combined procedures of extraction of dislocated lens,vitrectomy and trabeculectomy were performed on 25 eyes of 25 patients with traumatic dislocation of the lens and secondary glaucoma.[Results] The dislocated lens were extracted successfully in 25 eyes.The intraocular pressure(IOP) was normal after operation in 22 eyes.Correction visual acuity improved in 18 eyes.[Conclusions] Combined procedures of extraction of dislocated lens,vitrectomy and trabeculectomy is an effective way to manage the traumatic dislocation of the lens associated with second glaucoma.
