Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of the oral administration of misoprostol for the prevention of postpartum hemorrhage,Methods 120 cases of postpartum hemorrhage were randomly divided into two groups, the misoprostol group with 60 patients were given misoprostol 400μg; the oxytocin group with 60 patients were given 5% glucose solution 500 mL adding oxytocin 20U intravenous infusion,to observe the bleeding of two groups 2h after operation,Results The average amount of bleeding of two groups 2h after operation:oral administration of misoprostol group(87±25)mL,oxytocin group(146±36)mL,were statistically significant difference between the two groups(P0.01),Conclusion Oral administration of misoprostol for uterine contractions was stronger than oxytocin, can better prevent postpartum hemorrhage, was convenient and safe,
