Abstract

Objective: To investigate clinical efficacy of misoprostol and oxytocin in preventing postpartum hemorrhage. Methods: January 2007 to December 2009,200 cases of maternal vaginal delivery were randomly divided into experimental group and control group.100 cases of control group were injected with oxytocin and the observation group used misoprostol to observe and compare on base of control group. The third stage of labor and postpartum hemorrhage were observed and compared. Results: The third stage of labor of observation group was(5.1±1.5) min,2 hours post-partum bleeding volume was(151.9±46.8) ml and postpartum hemorrhage was 1.0%;control group were respectively(9.1 ±2.5) min,(278.3± 75.1) ml and 5.0%,the differences were statistically significant(P0.01).Conclusion: Misoprostol combined with oxytocin to prevent postpartum hemorrhage can be better and safety,is worthy of clinical application.
