Clinical analysis of 7 cases of pulmonary sarcoidosis

Objective To explore the clinical features and managements of pulmonary sarcoidosis for improving the awareness of pulmonary sarcoidosis.Methods The clinical findings and outcomes of 7 patients with pulmonary sarcoidosis were retrospectively analyzed.Results(1) Most of the patients were younger than forty years old,and female were more than male.(2) The clinical symptoms of sarcoidosis were varied and had no specificity.(3) The chest X-ray and lung CT scan were the major ways to diagnose the disease at early stage.Serum angiotensinⅠconverting enzyme(SACE) and purified protein derivative(PPD) skin test were valuable for its diagnosis.(4) Definitive diagnosis depended on the pathological examination.Conclusion The pulmonary sarcoidosis has atypical clinical presentations,and glucocorticoids is the effective drug for therapy.The key point is to improve the awareness of pulmonary sarcoidosis.
