Abstract

Objective To investigate the relation between helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection and coronary heart diease (CHD). Methods A total of 85 patients were devided into CHD group (36 male, 10 female, mean age 60 8±9 8) and control group with no CHD(25 male, 14 female, mean age 61 2±8 6). The CHD group was devided into myocardial infarction (MI) group (20 patients) and mon MI group (26 patients). Hp IgG in serum of the 85 patients was tested by ELISA. Their total cholesterol(TC),Triglyceride(TG), and Fibrinogen(Fg) are also detected. Results In CHD group,28 patients presented with Hp IgG + (60 9%) and 18 patients presented with Hp IgG - (29 1%). In the control group,22 patients presented with Hg IG + (56 4%)and 17 patients presented with Hp IgG - (33 6%). But those figures had no statistic significance. The concentrations of TC,TG,and Fg in CHD group were all higher than those in the control relation with increase in antibody of Hp( P 0 05). There weseno significant differences of Hp,TC,TG, and Fg between MI group and non MI group. Conclusion Infection of helicobacter pylori is not no independent risk factor of CHD,and it has no relation with MI.
