Tiaoqi Runchang Decoction Treating 45 Cases of Chronic Functional Constipation

OBJECTIVE To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of Tiaoqi Runchang Decoction on chronic functional constipation(CFC).METHODS 90 cases,meet the CFC diagnostic criterion set by Rome Ⅲ,were randomly divided into the treatment group(45 cases) which were treated with Tiaoqi Runchang Decoction and the control group(45 cases) which were treated with Maren Soft Capsule.The treatment course of each group was 4 weeks.The therapeutic effects of two treatment were evaluated according to the changes of the clinical symptoms integral(consulting the RomeⅢ criterion) and the quality of life score(SF-36 Scale) of the two groups before and after the treatment.RESULTS The treatment group was obviously superior to the control group in aspects of relieving clinical symptoms and improving life quality,with a remarkable difference(P0.05).The total effective rates of the two groups were 95.6% and 82.2% respectively,of which the difference had a statistical significance(P0.05).And the incidence of adverse reactions were 8.9% and 13.3% respectively.CONCLUSION With the remarkable actions of relieving clinical symptoms and improving life quality,and few adverse reactions,Tiaoqi Runchang Decoction has a significant therapeutic effect on CFC,which is worth being applied widely.
