A Review on the Reform of the Public Physical Education Curriculum in Universities in China

By method of literature review,this paper discusses the achievements and difficulties of the reform of the public physical education curriculum in universities in China and reflects on the viable reform methods.Research shows that in the past thirty or so years,the public physical education curriculm reform has made a series of achievements. At the same time,it is facing such difficulties as the lagging behind of the teaching philosophy,the mistaken cognition of the teaching concept and over-formalization of teaching process. In response to such problems,the reconstruction of the public physical education teaching guiding ideology,the teaching idea,the curriculum system and evalucation system are feasible solutions.
